MockSo you might be asking yourself, “What is this project all about?” Well, what I have done here was recreated the SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters Clash (which was released for the Neo-Geo Pocket Color) into actual playing cards, so that you can play the game with your friends as a physical card game. Originally released in 1999 and many of the rules that have been adapted to this project were part of the 2nd game in the series which was never released in the US.

The project originally stared in January of 2001. I never was very happy with the original design as it looked very amaturish. One decade later, I decided to breath new life into the project. What you see in front of you is the 1.0 product. I feel as though it is now to a point where I can be happy with the looks and feel of the cards. I would eventually like to see every card have fan art on them.

This has been a labor of love ever since the beginning. I have never made one cent from this project and I never will. This is available to all for free. If you want to print your own cards that will be of course at your own expense; either printing them at home or getting a print shop to do this for you.

kiddoCFP original style cards are being removed
October 14, 2017 at 5:32 PM (Central Time)

There are some changes on the horizon concerning Card Fighters Project as well as the website. In preperation for the changes I will be permanately removing the early style cards from the site. If you would like to get your hands on them head over to that part of the site and download now. I'm not sure how much longer they will last.

On top of the removal of the original style cards there have been a few changes on the site and you may see other changes popping up. A rather large announcment is on the way, so I'm just preparing things on the site for it.

kiddoRules Page Updated

As I have decided to go back and reread the rules that I have printed I realized that it was very difficult to follow. I have rewritten the rules page and it should be much easier to understand. I will also be putting up a video to explain the rules for those who have difficulty reading.

kiddoWelcome to Card Fighter Project 1.0
July 23, 2016 at 7:05 AM (Central Time)

Today is a very special day indeed! For a project that began in 2001 that has gone through an evolutionary period and now into what I can consider a finished product. I have gone back through and rebuilt all the cards that I redesigned starting in 2013 to make the card descriptions more legible and easier to edit for those interested in translating the project into other languages. I think part of the problem in the past with getting them translated was the way I had the source files set up, but now they are ready to make the task easier.

I have also implemented fauxlographic cards. By this I mean, any cards that are ranked "S" now have an alternative graphic set to make them appear as holographic cards. It was proving to be way to expensive to have them actually made and my method of holographic cards would have been too hard for me to do them for everyone and the end results were not all that great. So with that I give you fauxlographic cards.
